Today's Radio 3 Choral Evensong is to be sung by Ely Cathedral Girls' Choir (with the Lay Clerks of Ely). It will be broadcast live from the Cathedral at 3.30 pm and repeated on Radio 3 at 4.00 pm on Sunday. You should also be able to hear it on BBC iplayer later. This is the first time the Girls' Choir has broadcast in this way so it's an exciting day for them and for the Cathedral and King's School Ely (where the girls are educated). I have received a comment from a local choir leader that it would be good to have some training available on singing Anglican chant Psalms. Anyone else interested in such a training event? If so, I'll try to get something organised.
